Information regarding Stella Mare Village:

of undeveloped land west of 7 ½ Mile Road - borders.
San Luis Pass Road (Hwy. 3005) on the south and Stewart Road
on the north. Stella
Mare means star fish in Italian (literally translates
as star of the sea). We
chose this name for the development as a way to honor the
many Italian immigrants who have been instrumental in the
development of Galveston Island. The streets will be named
after well known Italian coastal cities.
